Be My Eyes, a review
I just found out about this app while I was scrolling through my Facebook feed just last week. Out of curiosity, I downloaded it on my phone and started checking it out. The first thing that came across my mind was that this app positively gave the spotlight to blind and low-vision individuals. It gave them a safe avenue and hope in asking for help and support from others.
It’s my hope that by helping each other as an online community, Be My Eyes will make a big difference in the everyday livesof blind people all over the world.

Volunteers need to sign up before receiving calls from blind and low-vision users. When a user needs assistance, several volunteers would be quickly notified. The volunteer who answers the call would be the first one to assist. Sighted users remain anonymous during calls and only their voices are transmitted.
What’s more interesting about Be my Eyes is its features and how fast its interface work. With more than 36 languages, free and unlimited calls day and night, and 100% safety as anonymous — this app is really a good one! You can also see other features such as various user testimonies, podcasts, user and guide manuals, and even blogs from the community. You get the chance and opportunity to help blinds wherever and whenever you are.
For blind and low-vision users, they can just call a volunteer for tasks that needs a sharp pair of eyes. For Professional Support, Be my Eyes provides a “Specialized Help” partner for them. Check this app and download it on your phones now! You can also check their official website for more information.
Just a caution and reminder: Use this app responsibly. With its goal to help and provide support, you can be one of them! You have the power to be the eyes of those in need.
