Thousands of scallop shells found at the long beach of Boracay Island
Missing the beach? Well, while we are not yet allowed to dress in our swimsuits and bask under the sun in that setting, let’s turn to social media to give us some glimpse! A photo set recently shared on Facebook by the ‘Juander Buddies’ page took the internet by surprise as it captured thousands of scallop shells discovered at the long beach of Boracay Island.
“Just yesterday, thousands of scallop shells were found at the long beach of Boracay Island. What a phenomenal moment! Wish we were there,” the caption read.

The way the shots were taken grabbed the attention of the netizens as it wonderfully got the sunset as well and the volume of these sea creatures somehow brought smiles to people.
Many shared the picturesque event and even tagged their friends and families who are all missing the beach and good seafood as we are currently stuck in our homes due to the pandemic COVID-19.
A lot were also curious as to what brought this phenomenon to occur. There were some who speculated its because of the reduced pollution in the area because since tourists weren’t allowed there anymore, the waste overwhelmingly lessen.
However, others just appreciate the delightful sight. There is still no scientific reason why this happened as of this writing.
