I think as a college student, having a week of pulling all-nighters and dealing with tight schedules, and other commitments are exhausting. Although, maintaining our academic performance is our top priority as a student but so is having a healthy lifestyle.

Having a healthy lifestyle will help keep your body and mind focused. However, juggling your health and school can be challenging. But it’s only imperative to take care of our body, so treat it like it’s an investment. The question now is, how do we do it?

These are the few simple tips that you need, to keep a healthy lifestyle:

Exercise Daily

Exercising is something we always take for granted because mustering up the motivation to exercise can be difficult. I tell you, it’s not going to be easy. However, starting slowly like walking early in the morning for 10 mins under the sun, doing 5 mins-stretching will take you far more than you expected. Just start doing minimal actions and soon everything will start to add up. You can also follow medical creators on Tiktok as you start your health journey.

Use the Pomodoro Technique

As a student, we have our never-ending to-do list. Hence, the reason why we stay late at night. So try testing the Pomodoro technique. This technique is a time management system that controls people to work within the given time. I have personally been using this since my 1st-year college.

So in using this technique, you break your time into 25-minute separated by five-minute breaks. This is simple yet so effective.

After completing four pomodoros, you can take a longer rest about a 15 to 20-minute break.

Managing Stress

Internal and external stress is inevitable. Mostly, the stress levels in college often skyrocket in these years and can have a negative impact on your health. So it is important to know how to manage our stress. You can manage your stress by having a break from a task for a while. Then, do things that will make you feel relaxed. Things like cleaning your room, napping, catching up with your friends, reading your favorite book, etc. In this way, you can have a healthy and balanced routine.

I swear! Incorporating these simple tips into your routine will be of great help to you. It may be easier said than done, but once you set your mind to do it, your body also can do it. Start having a healthy lifestyle. Live intentionally, by doing so, you can have full control of your habits.
