‘Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha’ actor Kim Seon-ho will be starring in the upcoming film ‘The Tyrant’

KDrama fans, rise up! Best known for his performances in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha and Start-Up, Kim Seon-ho has been confirmed to join the cast of the upcoming film The Tyrant.

On Monday, January 9, Korean media outlet My Daily announced Seon-ho’s casting in the film. He will join fellow actors Cha Seung-won and Kim Kang-woo.

The Tyrant revolves around a chase among people determined to get the sample of the mysterious “tyrant program” that went missing after a delivery accident. 

The Korean drama actor will take on the role of government agent Choi Guk-jang, a member of a state institution who has been leading a double life as the operator of a tyrant program. In a statement that Seon-ho issued, he shared,

“It’s an honor to be able to greet the audience through the role of Director Choi who has a different charm from characters I have showcased in the past. I’m happy to work once again with director Park Hoon-jung following The Child.”

The Tyrant marks the second time that Seon-ho will work with director Park Hoon-jung after the film The Child.

According to the report, Seung-won has been cast in the film as former agent Im Sang. On the other hand, Kang-woo will take on the role of foreign intelligence officer Paul. Meanwhile, as of this writing, the film’s release date is yet to be announced.
