Fil-Am actor Jon Jon Briones stars in Netflix series ‘Ratched’

After his successful portrayal as Modesto Cunanan in Ryan Murphy’s The Assassination of Gianni Versace, award-winning Fil-Am actor Jon Jon Briones will star in another Ryan Murphy TV show Ratched. He will play the role of Dr. Richard Hanover in the said TV drama series.

“Dr. Richard Hanover is a brilliant doctor and he means well. Truly, he believes he can cure anyone because he is that good. That got him into trouble. Using all the methods that were not tested yet but heard about from another country, he used those. And because of his mistakes, he had to run away from that life and have a different personality,” Jon Jon shared about his character.

Ratched is a suspenseful drama series that tells the origin story of asylum nurse Mildred Ratched. In 1947, Mildred arrives in Northern California to seek employment at a leading psychiatric hospital where new and unsettling experiments have begun on the human mind.

Critically-acclaimed for his performance as The Engineer in the “Miss Saigon” musicals, Jon Jon now joins a formidable cast, which includes Sarah Paulson, Judy Davis, Sharon Stone, Cynthia Nixon, Sophie Okonedo, Vince D’Onofrio and even his son Teo Briones (as Peter).

“Teo is an amazing actor. I am a big fan of Teo. There was a time in his career when he was working more than we were. He is so realistic, so dynamic in his performance that’s why when I found out that he booked the job, I was so happy,” he said about working with his son, Teo.
