Direk Cathy on John Lloyd-Bea movie: “Antayin ninyo. Di ko sasabihin”

One of the country’s well-loved love teams, John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo were recently spotted at the Art Fair Philippines 2020 in Makati City, where they participated in a live script reading. Of course, fans went wild seeing their favorite movie love team in one frame, once again. Some are wishing to see these two award-winning stars in one film under the direction of Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina.

The trio last previous works include One More Chance (2007), Miss You Like Crazy (2010), at A Second Chance (2015).

John Lloyd-Bea Movie Comeback

In an interview with PEP, Direk Cathy hinted on the possible movie comeback of John Lloyd and Bea.

“Antayin ninyo. Di ko sasabihin.

“Pangit naman kung ako ang mag-confirm sa inyo, di pa ako allowed,” she cautiously answered.

Everyone knows that Direk Cathy considers John Lloyd is her favorite actor. The box-office director expressed her excitement over the idea of John Lloyd making his big screen comeback soon.

“Excited? Of course, ako naman ay napaka-vocal sa pagiging favorite star, favorite actor ko si John Lloyd. Kaya lang, tingnan natin kung aabot siya sa aking pagreretiro. Di naman retiro, pagpapahinga.”

Aside from their director-actor relationship. Direk Cathy has built a strong friendship with John Lloyd throughout the years. She revealed that they constantly communicate with each other despite the latter’s showbiz hiatus.

“Well, nagkita pa kami late last year. ‘Tapos, nanganak iyung aso ko na iyung kapatid, e, iyung aso niya. So, tito siya ng puppies ko.

“Okay? Yes, saka ang pogi niya, ha? Mega magazine ba iyun? Ay, Metro ba?!? Ang guwapo niya, saka noong um-attend siya ng kasal ni Vhong [Navarro]. He’s looking good.

“Excited ako, we miss him. Basically, I miss John Lloyd Cruz. John Lloyd is John Lloyd,” she shared.

“Maraming magagaling na aktor pero iba si John Lloyd,” she ended.
