Bruno Mars and Rose's Newly Released Collaboration Took Over The Internet This Week

Following his successful collaboration with Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars has teamed up with another musical star, Rosé, for their latest track, APT. The song delivers a fun, upbeat vibe with a touch of Avril Lavigne-inspired energy.

And three days since its release last October 18, the song has already garnered 20 million listens on Spotify and 71 million views on YouTube.

Days before the release, the Korean singer and Blackpink member Rosé shared a photo with American singer-songwriter Bruno Mars, captioned, ‘The night I taught Bruno how to play a Korean drinking game‘ hinting about the song.

The Korean drinking game mentioned above is the ‘APT‘ or ‘Apartment Game’, and that is what inspired the song. In this, players will stack their hands, then the leader calls out a ‘floor’ number. Players then remove their hands one by one, starting from the bottom. If someone pulls their hand out on the ‘floor’ number the leader called or repeated a previously called number, they must drink as a penalty.

Furthermore, the song captures the fun essence of the game with its catchy lyrics and upbeat rhythm. This new track by Rosé is part of her full-length album, set to release on December 6.

Rosé’s comeback after two years without releasing new music thrilled many Blackpink fans. Additionally, Blackpink’s latest release was in 2022, while Rosé’s last solo release dates back to 2021. This is why APT has excited not only Blackpink fans but also listeners outside the fandom, thanks to its upbeat vibe and outstanding vocals.
