I’m sure you have seen this game floating all over social media recently! Genshin Impact is an open-world action role-playing game available on PlayStation, PC, Android, and iOS.
The game’s storyline focuses on a Traveler who is on a quest to traverse the seven nations of Teyvat ruled by the Seven Archons of seven elements to find their missing twin.
Throughout the Traveler’s journey, they will meet different characters that the player can acquire to be a part of the Traveler’s party!
However, Beware of its money-making mechanics!
To acquire characters and weapons, the player must grind or pay for its RNG-based (Random Number Generator) wish system which is similar to gambling where you bet on luck to get a desirable prize. The characters and weapons are categorized as standard (3-star, 4-star) and limited (5-star).
This system is a factor of what made Genshin Impact one of the games with the highest revenues of all time achieved in under a year with a shimmering $2 billion (PHP 101 billion)!

Another win for Genshin Impact is its action RPG mechanics where you control the characters in real-time with their unique fighting movements and skill casting, especially when you acquire a 5-star character where they have their own “burst” animations that you won’t get sick of watching while you are fighting enemies!

The game’s lore is about the Traveler discovering all seven nations to complete the storyline; however, three nations are only available, as of writing, and more nations will be available in later updates. It’s safe to say that the characters made Genshin Impact live up to its popularity. The characters are uniquely illustrated, and their anime-style design is maintained in-game which attracts the players to acquire and build their so-called ‘waifus’ and ‘husbandos.’ And there’s more to come!
