Children’s Television Show That Completed My Childhood

When I was younger, watching Children’s television shows while drinking chocolate in a cup was my favorite. I would sing along with Hi-5 and dance with them while my mother makes delicious breakfast for me. That is a memory worth remembering and I could not help but feel nostalgic about it. If it means completing my childhood years, I will bet anything for it.

Now that I am an adult, some things have actually changed. Nevertheless, I continue to find this kind of show entertaining. Perhaps it’s because I grew up watching a great selection of programs. If kids now knew about them, they would probably enjoy them as well.

Here are a few of the Children’s Television shows that completed my childhood. If you wish to try different shows for your child, they can also be a choice for you.

1. Hi-5 (Australian TV Series)

I still enjoy singing the line “Hi-5 in the air, let’s do it together,” from its opening song. The fact that this children’s television show offers a wide range of segments is something I really appreciate.

For instance, the video here is one of their songs featured in the Making Music segment. The show was founded as a children’s musical group. They make a big effort to explain pitch, rhythm, beat, and melody to their viewers in the most entertaining way.

Along with Making Music, you will appreciate the other program’s content. In Shapes and Space, they talk about the shapes and colors that may be found in various materials.

Children are encouraged to engage in physical activities like dancing in the Body Move segments. Songs of the Week, Puzzles and Patterns, Sharing Stories, and a lot more are also included in the show. This kid-friendly TV program has a lot to offer to both you and your children. Try watching this to get to know Tim, Charli, Nathan, Kathleen, Kellie, and other cast members that make up Hi-5.

2. Postman Pat (British Slow-motion Animated TV Series)

My brother and I both used to adore this show so much. It has a catchy theme song that introduces Postman Pat, his job description, as well as his black & white cat. In a small community called Greendale, Pat Cliffton works as a postman.

He goes from door to door delivering mail, greeting his neighbors who greet him back, and so on. Through the simple storyline, children will acquire the ability to comprehend and manage emotions. They will also develop the ability to form meaningful connections with others. The show makes sure that aside from the letters Pat delivers to his neighbors, viewers will also receive the message behind them.

3. Bob the Builder (British Animated Children’s TV Series)

One thing Bob has taught me throughout the show is the importance of teamwork. There will come a time when you will require assistance, and accepting it is the last thing you should do. The protagonist of the television series Bob the Builder is a construction worker named Bob.

You’ve probably heard of Scoop, a yellow backhoe loader, or Dizzy, an orange cement mixer. However, the show also features additional equipment and machinery that support Bob’s objectives. In addition to building relationships and teamwork, Bob the Builder teaches children how to solve conflicts. For instance, he handled the issue above by instructing Scoop to remove the cat and ducks from the pond.

4. The Wonder Pets (American Educational Animated Children’s TV Series)

I can honestly tell that I have grown to love it after watching it in Tagalog. Up until today, I still sing its Tagalog theme song every time I offer some help to someone. And you know what is funny? It took me years to find out their real name. All along, I thought it was Winnie (Guinea Pig), Zack (Turtle), and Mingming (Duck). However, it was Linny, Tuck, and Ming-ming. It just proves how kids grow up into something they used to hear.

The Wonder Pets is a great television series for children if you are searching for one. The show is entertaining and interactive, and it helps children develop empathy for animals. Growing up watching this type of show will teach a child how to care for them. They would know the importance of helping because animals can’t easily help themselves.

5. The Adventure of Jimmy Neutron (American Animated Series)

The Adventure of Jimmy Neutron was among the children’s television shows I enjoyed when I was a kid. Jimmy is surrounded by nice people like his family and his best friends, Carl and Sheen which he often forgets.

I love how this character tries to invent new things to solve such problems because we all need to learn how to “Think, think, think” before we act. Kids are curious about a lot of things and this show made me want to explore even more. All in all, I love how Jimmy learns at the end of each episode.

Although I have a lot of fun television shows in mind, these Children’s shows are the best in my opinion. I’ve learned a lot from watching these, and I’m sure the kids who will be watching them soon will also learn as well.

Allow your children to enjoy themselves and make the most of their childhood. But, of course, make sure to provide them with a bunch of entertaining yet educational shows. Learning does not have to be boring. You can make it enjoyable and interactive. Something your child will enjoy doing while they spend time with you.
