Rayver Cruz recently revealed that he is a survivor of COVID-19.

The actor-dancer opened up about his battle with the deadly disease in an exclusive interview for the GMA news show 24 Oras last Monday, September 12.

He explained why he has been absent for nearly three months in the variety show All-Out Sundays.

Moreover, Rayver felt lower back pain as a first symptom. He thought it was an effect of overworking.

“Noong time na ‘yon, nakakalungkot, ‘diba? Na-down din ako. At first, akala ko napagod lang ako that day sa mga ginagawa, sa pag-workout, sa trabaho. Akala ko sunod-sunod lang […].”

He, then, started to feel the symptoms usually felt by someone who contracted COVID-19.

Rayver felt fear upon learning that he tested positive for the virus while revealing that he was admitted to the hospital.

Moreover, Rayver now divulges his experience with COVID-19 to spread awareness and encourage everyone to get a vaccine.

In addition, Rayver joins a list of celebrities that have had COVID-19, including Iza Calzado, Heaven Peralejo, Michael V., and Christopher De Leon, among others.

We are glad you’re feeling well, Rayver! Keep on staying strong.
