Chocolate Hills of Bohol leads Tourist Destination of the Year

Bohol’s famous Chocolate Hills is currently netizen’s favorite tourist destination. On December 5, Village Pipol launched VP Choice Awards (VPCA), an award-giving body recognizing the prime and supreme in three major categories: Travel, Lifestyle and Entertainment.

In fact, it is a tight competition among this year’s nominees for Tourist Destination of the Year.

This award goes to the tourism department of the municipality or city. They also exert effort to promote their culture, heritage and attractions. This, then, includes their ability to advertise and adapt in the age of social media.

Chocolate Hills, a classic tourist spot

Last December 3, VP Choice Awards has unveiled its official list of nominees during their VPCA 2019: The Grand Reveal. Sky Quizon and Angela Alarcon hosted the said reveal. Other local tourist spots that got nominated are Siargao, Puerto Princesa, San Juan, La Union, Batanes, and Boracay.

The grand awarding will be on January 23 at Casino Filipino, Manila Bay. In fact, this is expected to be the most star-studded night of the year, gathering brands, online personalities, and TV & Movie stars in one spectacular event.
