Taal Volcano Updates

Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported that Taal Volcano remains under Alert Level 3.

Furthermore, 17 volcanic earthquakes and a 2,500-meter high volcanic plume have been generated over a 24-hour monitoring period.

Entry into the entire Taal Volcano Island is prohibited since it is a Permanent Danger Zone, according to PHIVOLCS.

Given the risk of pyroclastic density currents and volcanic tsunami, if major eruptions occur, entry into the island as well as the high-risk barangays of Agoncillo and Laurel must be prohibited.
