In an unexpected turn, ALV Pageant Circle announces that it has now parted ways with Miss Supranational. Obtaining the local franchise in 2020 from Binibining Pilipinas, the organization released an official statement on February 1.

According to organization president Arnold Vegafria, he explains that after much deliberation, they opted not to renew the franchise. Further stating that its first standalone competition, meant to take place in March, will no longer take place.

2021: Dindi Pajares

For its inaugural year, the selection for ALV’s first Miss Supranational Philippines was done in an unconventional way. When quarantine restrictions forced the postponement of Miss World Philippines 2021, the organization decided to elect its first representative.

The candidates had the opportunity to judge and choose the winner themselves, and they ultimately settled on 28-year-old Dindi Pajares. A pageant veteran with 10-years of experience, Dindi’s accolades include placing as a semifinalist during Binibining Pilipinas in 2016.

Boasting a stellar resume outside of pageantry as well, Dindi is a member of the country’s presidential air crew. Additionally, she serves in the Philippine air force reserve. Having only 11 days to prepare before she left for Poland, these experiences were key advantages to her journey.

2022: Alison Black

Following Dindi’s strong performance, the pressure of finding a successor that could potentially match or exceed her achievements was on. Alison Black, a pageant rookie, triumphed in the field of seasoned and favored candidates predicted to take the crown.

A 23-year-old Ballerina from Las Pinas, Alison’s road to victory was indeed unexpected but it’s nonetheless well deserved. Possessing a sharp mind and graceful moves, she proved herself to be a worthy representative.

Finishing in 17th place among the Top 24 semifinalists, Alison also took home the special award for Best in Talent.

As of this writing, the new franchise holder of Miss Supranational Philippines remains unknown. However, rumors began to circulate that it might have found a new home under the Miss Universe Philippines pageant.

Whether its confirmed or not, we only hope that its new franchise owner will continue the country’s success and ultimately bring the crown home again.
