These beauty queens are being prepared by Filipino trainers for Miss Universe
The Philippines is known as a global powerhouse in pageants, but of course, that is nothing new. Winning crowns left and right has never been easy nor did it happen overnight. Afterall, we did have our dark phase of consecutive non-placements and we surely don’t want history to repeat itself.
The level of investment and planning that we do has always been the foundation of our success in the industry. Each year, we always make sure to send the best possible candidates by training them to perfection. Our technique and formula have been doing so well that other countries are now asking for our help.
Take a look at Miss Universe for example. For years, many international beauty queens have flown here to train with some of our best pageant coaches and trainers. This year alone, at least three candidates have been confirmed to be training with a Filipino camp.
Who are they and who are the people helping them? Let’s find out.
Anna Sueangam-iam, Miss Universe Thailand 2022: Training with RL Lacanienta
Since 2010, RL’s Angels under owner, RL Lacanienta has been a go-to for any aspiring beauty queens, here and abroad. This year, the camp is responsible for training Miss Universe Thailand 2022 Anna Sueangam-iam. RL and Anna have already been working together prior to her win, and they will continue to do so for Miss Universe.
RL have trained candidates from the land before, so this is not a first. Other prominent Thai beauty queens he has mentored include Anntonia Porsild, Miss Supranational 2019, and Fahsai Drouin, Miss Universe Thailand 2019.
Laksmi Shari De Neefe Suardana, Miss Universe Indonesia 2022: Training with Kagandahang Flores
Kagandahang Flores under queen maker Rodgil Flores is arguably the pageant camp that started it all. Even before our golden years in pageantry, KF has since been producing international titleholders. It has stood the test of time by continually training top-notch beauty queens. Adding to their list is Miss Universe Indonesia 2022 Laksmi Shari De Neefe Suardana.
Like RL’s Angels, KF has took many Indonesian queens under their wing. One of them is Kevin Liliana wo went on to become Miss International 2017. Speaking of Miss International, KF will also mentor Miss International Indonesia 2022, Cindy McGuire. Both Queens are here in the Philippines to begin their training
Manita Hang, Miss Universe Cambodia 2022: Training with Kagandahang Flores
From one country to another, KF will also be responsible in guiding Miss Universe Cambodia 2022 Manita Hang. Manita is expected to arrive in the country next month not only for her training but also for other important events.
Of course, our very won Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi will be training with her current team, The Camp.
All roads appear to lead to the Philippines with only a few months till Miss Universe. Good luck to all the queens as well as to their trainers! Seeing other countries tapping Filipinos for their preparation is definitely something to be proud of.
