Meet Ronald Quiñones, Jr. — the man behind ‘lowcostedit’ on TikTok
Seeing videos of celebrity face fusions and age transformation edits on your For You Page lately? Well, me too! Ronald Quiñones, Jr. is the brain and talent behind these amazing digital artworks on his TikTok account @lowcostedit.
He has accumulated almost 30 million likes on his TikTok and currently has 1.3 million followers. Also, his Facebook page is on its way to hitting 700 thousand followers. His edits surely piqued the interest of audiences across various social media platforms.
Ronald started to edit these kinds of videos at the start of the pandemic. He shared that his interests focus mainly on painting and drawing but he then explored more through editing.
However, this hobby is just a side hustle for Ronald. He is currently a full-time engagement specialist, responsible for running company events.
Editing style and themes
His edits center on face manipulations and transformations, mostly on local and international celebrities. He also shared his motivation for this kind of digital artwork.

“Para maiba naman sa mga content creators na nag-eedit, since wala pa kasing gumagawa ng ganung content.”
Moreover, he stated that he is a fan of British graphic designer James Fridman, who is known for taking requests for photo editing on Twitter.
“…naisip ko na lang na why not dito sa [Pilipinas] may ganitong editor din.”
Thus, Ronald rose to fame in the country because of his incredible transformation and manipulation of edits.
He then shared that his most favorite types of edits are the Renaissance and animated transformations.
“…hindi siya yung typical na edit. Super na-chachallenge ako pag ‘eto yung theme ng edits ko.”
One of his Renaissance-themed edits is his recent one of Heart Evangelista. As of now, the video garnered 4 million views and almost 400 thousand likes.

What’s next for lowcostedit?
Like any other true artist, Ronald shared that he aims to improve his editing skills more.
“Gusto ko pang mas ma-improve yung editing skills ko through watching tutorials, and also yung format ng video ko sa pag-uupload gusto ko mas engaging pa siya.”
Does he see himself continuing his craft forever? Ronald answered yes.
“I can see myself doing it [forever], but not totally the same way, for sure mag babago yung way ko ng pag-eedit. hindi ako [magsi-stick] sa nakagisnan ko, gagamitin ko din yung time para mag-grow and to learn new processes.”
Moreover, he expressed his feelings towards his rising fame on social media.
“It’s very overwhelming at the same time very [motivating] since napakaraming gustong matuto na mag-edit and sinasabi nila na napakalaking tulong ko sa mga nag-sstart pa lang. Syempre super happy din sa mga feedback na natatanggap ko.”
Ronald finally shared his piece of advice for other aspiring digital artists and content creators.
“…huwag susuko sa passion niyo. May time talaga na walang masyadong makaka-appreciate ng works niyo, sa mga content creators na halos walang views ang videos niyo kahit super tagal niyong ginawa. But I’m sure, in God’s perfect time, magsa-shine yung pinaghirapan [at yung talent niyo].”
Truly, Ronald deserves all the love and support he gets from his content. He is an artist of high-caliber who isn’t afraid to try new things and develop other talents.
Padayon, Mr. Quiñones! We look forward to seeing more content from you.
