Lucky Faye Angelie Erese is stingingly gorgeous in her Aeta-inspired National Costume
Silently battling her way to the crown, Lucky Faye Angelie Erese is currently in Malaysia to compete at the Miss Tourism Queen Worldwide 2022.
Even though her journey hasn’t received much notice, she’s still doing a fantastic job. In fact, her national costume is now starting to gain traction among Filipino pageant fans.
Visually stunning and with a unique historical backstory, this Michael Barassi masterpiece truly is world class.
It just goes to show that as what her name suggests, Lucky is definitely charming her way throughout the pageant.
DANCING THROUGH THE BEE-AT
Deriving from the first dwellers of our country, the costume champions the indigenous tribe of the Aetas, particularly their rich culture. Highlighting their simplistic and primitive ways, the costume is named “Pulot Panilan”.
An example of a custom dance of the Aetas, Pulot Panilan is usually done by a hive collector. Barassi explains that:
“A dance that demonstrates the gathering of honey from the hives and bee hunting in the lush forest of the country.”
A common tradition, Aetas accustom themselves through dancing, associating it with their lifestyle. Barassi further explains that:
“Traditionally a hunting/gathering tribe and still among the most skilled anywhere on Earth in jungle survival- thus some of their dances were based on their daily activities.”
Overall, it is a is a celebration of culture and indigenous pride of the Philippines.
The finals of Miss Tourism Queen Worldwide 2022 will be held on October 24. It will take place in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur.
