4 Creamy Desserts That Should Be On Your Christmas Menu

Christmas is just around the corner. Have you planned what dessert to serve for your Noche Buena? If not, then you might want to check this out. Desserts or sweets are always on the menu whenever there is a feast or special event. It is the ideal way to remove grease from eating oily food from a heavy meal.

With that said, let me share with you a list of great creamy desserts that you can serve at your table this Christmas.

Fruit Salad

This classic Filipino fruit salad is a mixture of fruit cocktail, condensed milk, all-purpose cream, and cheese. You can also spice the dessert up by adding some nata de coco and a sprinkle of raisins. But, be careful about adding some raisins, as not everyone loves raisins.

Buko Salad

This recipe is close to a classic Filipino fruit salad. The differences are just pineapple, sweet corn, kaong (palm jelly), and the main ingredient, coconut. This dessert recipe is a mixture of shredded coconut, fruit cocktail, pineapple tidbits, sweet corn, nata de coco, kaong or sweet palm fruit, shredded cheese, condensed milk, and all-purpose cream.

Buko Pandan

Buko pandan can sometimes be mistaken for buko salad. The highlight of this recipe is the pandan-flavored jelly and the coconut strings. Moreover, just like fruit salad and buko salad, this dessert’s sole base is a mixture of condensed milk and all-purpose cream. You can also add some cheese to garnish and extra flavor and texture.

Sweet Macaroni Salad

If you are a fan of pasta, then this dessert might be the best for you. All you need is mayonnaise, condensed milk, a fruit cocktail, diced cheese, all-purpose cream, nata de coco, and kaong.

You might also get confused because there is another macaroni salad in the Filipino style. A combination of elbow macaroni, flaked chicken meat, grated or diced cheese, carrot, raisins, minced cilantro or coriander leaves, mayonnaise, sugar, and salt. You can also make it even creamier by adding all-purpose cream. But unlike the first one, this version serves as an appetizer.

You can try these quick and easy recipes in which all the ingredients are affordable and available in the market. All you have to do is mix all the ingredients, garnish, and refrigerate, as these recipes are all best chilled when served.
