Cherry Mobile is back with the Aqua SV 5G!
Remember Cherry Mobile? If you don’t, well they are a Philippine mobile phone manufacturer. They are famous for bringing us budget smartphones back when they started. But, competition grew in the budget phone segment, and Cherry Mobile fell out of our radar.
That is until now. Cherry Mobile is making a comeback with their newest release this year. Last April 29, they announced the Aqua SV 5G which seems to be undercutting most midrange phones in the market. Chock-full of specs and design features that you could want in a phone, the Aqua SV 5G is definitely looking strong!
Cherry Mobile is stepping up the design!
The Aqua SV 5G is unlike the Cherry Mobile phones of before. This time, the design is sleek, clean, and looks like any good midrange or flagship phone on the market. The design removes the plastic back in favor of a faux leather back panel which is really good at preventing fingerprint smudges. The phone also features a metal frame and a curved-edge 90 hertz AMOLED display which aids in making it look slim and premium. And, along the sides of the metal frame, you will find the usual. Up at the top are the secondary microphone, earpiece, and speaker, to the side, are the volume buttons and a red power button, and at the bottom are the speaker, microphone, dual-sim tray, and the type-C charging port.
A shocker display from Cherry Mobile!
It really is the age where cheap phones are getting good. The Cherry Mobile Aqua SV 5G, as we said features a curved 90 hertz AMOLED display. The main camera on the back consists of a 64mp main sensor, a 5mp ultra-wide, 2mp depth sensor, and a 2mp macro lens.
What about performance?
Do not think that the Aqua SV 5G can’t catch up. Cherry Mobile equipped this phone with a Mediatek Dimensity 810 chipset with an Octa-core CPU, a Mali G57 GPU, 8GB worth of RAM, and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. In simple terms? the phone is quick and snappy. And, it has enough horsepower to run graphic-intensive games which should be good enough for the casual gamer. Should you run out of juice, the Aqua SV 5G also features 30 Watts fast charging which should also be enough to charge up the phone in a little amount of time.
