Vico Sotto, Pasig City’s Mayor, stands as one of 2021 ‘Philippines Faces of Success’
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto is included in the list of recipients of the 2021 Philippines Faces of Success awards.
The award was given by a body that seeks to recognize “successful Pinoys all over the country and around the world.”
Vico is the first-termer mayor of Pasig City seeking reelection. In the list, he joins a distinguished list of actors, models, and entrepreneurs for this year’s awards.
Among those recognized for their success are award-winning veteran thespians Gina Pareño and Elizabeth Oropesa. Also, showbiz siblings Sanya Lopez and Jak Roberto.
There also were married actors Tonton Gutierrez and Glydel Mercado, actors Teresa Loyzaga, Wendell Ramos, and William Thio.
On the other hand, we have composer Vehneee Saturno and director Elwood Perez.
Aside from Sotto, there were other public servants cited. Bulakan Mayor Vergel Meneses, San Jose Del Monte Mayor Arthur Robes, Quezon City Councilor Hero Bautista.
Also, there was Dr. Alvin Sahagun, entrepreneur and Maharlika party-list advocate.
Newly-crowned Mrs. Tourism Universe Hemilyn Escudero Tamayo and 2019 Mrs. Universe Philippines Charo Laude are also included.
Other awards also include the Model Mom Philippines, Outstanding Men and Women of the Year Philippines, Philippine Empowered Men and Women of the Year, and Philippines Outstanding Brand of the Year.
The body also recognized “faces of success” among media staff members, the medical field, and other sectors.
The organizer said,
“Success might seem unreachable. But the stories of these personalities prove that anyone, even ordinary Filipinos, can become successful if they make smart and wise decisions in life and work hard.”
The organizer is hopeful that the awarding of the 2021 Philippine Faces of Success will eventually take place at Teatrino at the Promenade in Greenhills, San Juan. No date for the ceremony has been announced as of the time of this writing.
Vico definitely deserves this award, since he’s one of the few competent officials who have a genuine concern for the country. We’ll support him all the way.
