Testing out Blythe by Careline’s Face Party Collection

In 2016, Andrea Brillantes launched Blythe Cosmetics with Careline, allowing a trendier and edgier look for the teen-centric line. Upon its launch, the line has continued to release colorful palettes that cater to every person’s creativity. However, this 2023, they came up with the Face Party Collection that allowed every make-up lover to enjoy whether or not they want to go for a neutral look or a playful one.

The Face Party Collection features on-the-go powder blushes, contours, and highlighters. Anyone can just dip their makeup brush, sponge, or fingers in the product. Of course, tap off the excess powder and apply the product to the desired area. They can also blend and build the pigment, as needed.

When I received the package, I was feeling unwell and didn’t really feel like myself. So, I decided to do my makeup as a way to make myself feel a tiny bit better. I put on the basics like foundation, a little bit of concealer to cover up a massive pimple mark on my forehead, and shaded in the bald spots in my eyebrow.

I used the shade Butterscotch for my contour as Cookie Dough looked a little too light for my skin color. Butterscotch doesn’t look too warm or too cool. It sits perfectly under my cheekbones for a thinner effect.

Then, I added the Pink Velvet for my blush, putting it high on my cheekbones for a lift. Since it’s super pigmented, I only added a little bit and blended it forward to the apple of my cheeks. I also decided to experiment with the same shade of blush, putting it on my lips above the tint I already applied beforehand.

To complete the entire look, I only added a hint of highlighter on my nose and brow bone. Since it was so shiny, I blended it to tone it down as I was going for a neutral everyday look.

Overall, I love the fact that the packaging looks minimal and caters to people who are always on the go. I can just put them in my purse and reapply what I needed to fix after taking off my mask. The Face Collection applies smoothly on the skin and wasn’t chalky at all. It’s perfect for the darker morena girlies just like me.
