SNICKERS® Energize Manila with Immersive Pop-Up Experience and Event Featuring SEVENTEEN’s MINGYU
After months of mounting excitement, all roads led to the highly anticipated SNICKERS® pop-up experience and event in Manila, featuring the one and only MINGYU of K-pop icon SEVENTEEN.
ACTIVE LIFESTYLE
SNICKERS® and MINGYU have teamed up for the brand’s “Active Lifestyle” campaign. It’s inspired by the busy lifestyle of today’s youth, who have SNICKERS® by their side to satisfy their hunger and recharge their energy whenever, wherever. In the Philippines, SNICKERS® treated Filipinos to immersive events at the Quantum Sky View of Gateway Mall 2 and Smart Araneta Coliseum, respectively, from April 8 to 11.
First was the SNICKERS® Energy Station Pop-up, where Filipinos gathered for four days of fun and electrifying surprises. They played interactive games, posted messages for MINGYU, purchased SNICKERS® products, and claimed their tickets for the much-awaited event.
POP-UP EXPERIENCE
During the pop-up experience, visitors given event passports to collect stamps as they participated in different activity stations. First, the SNICKERS® Shot Combo, where participants tested their basketball skills by trying to score in each of the four hoops that represented the main ingredients of SNICKERS®: milk chocolate, peanuts, caramel, and nougat.
At SNICKERS® Flip and Match, they tried their hand at a memory game matching all the SNICKERS flavors, while at SNICKERS® Power Grab, their reflexes were challenged as they caught falling SNICKERS bars! Participants then earned freebies with their completed event passports, including the new SNICKERS® Strawberry bar, SNICKERS® sticker sheets, and limited-edition merchandise such as SNICKERS® tumblers and pouches for early birds at the pop-up.
Guests also captured the moment by snapping photos at various Instagram-worthy spots — from SNICKERS® mirrors and walls featuring images of MINGYU, to a SNICKERS® Strawberry Snaps corner dedicated to the newest flavor in the brand’s lineup. Others also left their mark by expressing themselves on the SNICKERS® Energy Wall, with some dedicating their messages to MINGYU himself. The SNICKERS® Energy Station is not complete without the SNICKERS® Shop, where customers who purchase PHP 250 worth of products get the special SNICKERS MINGYU Transparent Card for free, launching first at the pop-up!
#SNICKERSwithMINGYU Event
The four-day pop-up culminated in the #SNICKERSwithMINGYU Event in Manila on April 11 at Smart Araneta Coliseum, where the popular SEVENTEEN member was the star at a SNICKERS-powered night of games and interaction. Upon entering, MINGYU greeted by the loud cheers of the 3000 #SNICKERSwithMINGYU Raffle winners and their companions, all excited to see the K-pop artist. MINGYU participated in a fun Q&A segment covering his time in the Philippines and his role as the SNICKERS Asia Ambassador, energized the crowd through a basketball mini game, and spoke about his favorite Snickers flavors — including revealing the new SNICKERS® Strawberry! During the event, MINGYU’s fans also greeted him a happy birthday, which came with a song and a cake.
