Park Seo Joon to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe
Actor Park Seo Joon left South Korea to star in Marvel Studios’ new superhero film. This is according to the agency Awesome ENT, on Friday afternoon.
The announcement was long anticipated by movie fans. There had been rumors about the actor appearing in the sequel to Captain Marvel officially titled The Marvels. Seo Joon was identified as part of the cast after IMDb posted his profile and photo in July.
The sequel to Captain Marvel is expected to be directed by Nia DaCosta and begin filming this year.
However, the agency declined to provide other details on Friday. This includes the film’s title or Park’s filming schedule and location. They stated that this information will be announced later.
The Korean actor is widely known to international Korean drama fans. He has starred in several hit TV romantic comedies. You might recognize him from What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim and Itaewon Class.
As for award-winning films, he also made a cameo appearance in the Oscar-winning film Parasite. Seo Joon starred as a friend of the character Ki-woo, played by Choi Woo Sik. This beautiful yet dark film was directed by Bong Joon-ho.
