Founded and based in London, Miss World welcomes around a hundred candidates annually. Through its “beauty with a purpose” campaign, they helps contestants in raising money for the charities of their choice.
With 82 candidates as of this writing, fans anticipate a significant turnout for the upcoming edition following the announcement. This includes Philippine representative Gwendolyne Bolivar Fourniol. The 22-year-old French-Filipina beauty from Himamaylan, Negros Occidental is a model and teacher.
For her beauty with a purpose project, she advocates for Education, collaborating with the ERDA Foundation. Gwen is aiming to become the country’s second titleholder after Megan Young in 2013.
Last year, Philippine rep Tracy Maureen Perez finished in the Top 12 behind eventual winner Karolina Bielawska of Poland.
Vee De Serra is a go-getter and a writer driven by passion. When in doubt, Vee believes that "Life isn't fair but it is up to you make it one." As a city and a beach person—when the sun is out—expect Vee to spend hours getting lost in the concrete jungle or laying by the shoreline with both finishing the day by watching a beautiful sunset.
