Mark Models’ Sky De Leon is proud to show off his moreno skin
Tracing the outline of perfection, Sky De Leon pictures the vividness of the modeling realm.
As Mark Models unveils the rising names of its freshest looks, their individuality gleams the most. Amongst them all, an artist aims to mark his moreno feature and break the standard of beauty.
Exploring the absolute edges of his build, Sky is ready to conquer test shoots, advertising, and fashion runway. Co-manage with Mark de Luna Alvero, his professionalism stands out as well.
Currently, he is a 4th-year student, taking up pre-med physics at DLSU. He plans to go to medical school hoping to fulfill his dream to be a great doctor and surgeon one day.
Filled with superlative qualities, he believes that everyone is beautiful in their own way. He shares,
“Ever since I was younger, I was told that I was not good looking, eventually I learned that this was not true and that being moreno is something to be proud of. People, especially kids, should not be treated the way I was. I want them to know that everyone is equal and as beautiful,”
Rocking the stage since young
Meanwhile, modeling is nothing new to his pocket. Raised by a mother who is a past beauty queen, he had the experience of ramping in a small fashion show before.
“I was very nervous because before that I had no prior experience. At the end of that show, however, I really enjoyed ramping and wanted to explore the world of modeling,”
He added, he did other small shows and shoots after that. That specific moment becomes his stepping stone towards the world of modeling.
Moreover, he holds the idea that Filipino talents are just as world-class.
He even shared that his modeling inspiration would be Paolo Roldan, as there is a connection that binds them.
“He brought Filipino modeling to the international stage. Additionally, I greatly assimilated with him because he has the traditional Filipino features, especially being moreno, however, he still managed to look very high fashion,”
Taking his path to the next level
Sky also revealed that painting has always been part of his life. In fact, he already experienced exhibiting around the Metro and even took classes in the prestigious Florence Academy of Art in Italy, and at the Art Students League in New York.
Besides pivoting at the center of modeling and painting, he can also hit notes. Apparently, he sings as a tenor in the DLSU chorale.
His dedication to his studies is also evident, as he is heading to another chapter of his life.
“I am about to graduate from my current course and head into medical school,”
As a multitalented man, he just hopes to be able to balance everything later on.
Bringing value to Mark Models
Joining the lineup of Mark Neto’s masterpiece, he expects to learn more about his capabilities. More than this, he looks forward to the shoots underway and the people he will get along with.
“I hope to be able to also do more catalogue, print, and campaign shoots. I also expect to make new friends and connections,”
He also mentioned that as a hardworking individual, he will do his absolute best to bring value to the brand and agency.
“I also believe I still have lots of work to do, therefore I never settle for less, and am still willing to learn a lot,”
