Julius Babao defends ABS-CBN: “Hindi namin obligasyong magpaligaya ng taong ibinabalita namin”
Amid the ongoing franchise hearing of ABS-CBN, award-winning broadcasting journalist Julius Babao defended his home network against ‘biased newscasting’ accusations. In yesterday’s hearing, ABS-CBN was being accused for being unfair and biased in reporting some news concerning the government.
Babao, who’s one of ABS-CBN’s top newcasters, took to Twitter to express his sentiment regarding this matter.

Babao, who has been with ABS-CBN for decades, believes that his network always practices fairness in every news report to provide credible information for all Filipinos.

“Lahat ng mga issues na lumalabas laban sa ABS-CBN ay pwedeng solusyunan ng mga bagong patakaran at pag-uusap pero ang pagkawala ng hanapbuhay ng 11,000 na manggagawa sa panahon ng pandemya ay hindi talaga katanggap-tanggap,” he added.

“Inuulit ko ang mga nag-aasam at nangangarap na mawalan ng trabaho ang 11,000 na manggagawa ngayong panahon ng pandemya ay mga kampon ng kadiliman,” he bravely wrote.
Babao is one of the 11,000 employees who are affected of the franchise renewal issue that cause the network to shut down last May 5, 2020. National Telecommunications Commissions issued two cease and desist order against the TV network giant.
