Kanye West reveals he’s running for President this year
Just when you thought the news couldn’t surprise you even more comes the recent announcement of international performer Kanye West that he is eyeing THE position in the 2020 Presidential Run.
He shared this via a tweet on the night of Fourth of July,”We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States,” with an American flag emoji, and the hashtag #2020VISION.
This came not much of a shock as there were already rumors going around that Kanye will eventually do this when he started to drew his interest in politics and having meetings with current President Donald Trump.
Kanye’s revelation earned mixed reactions in social media. It may have been responded with a handful of memes and utter discouragement from many netizens, nevertheless, his candidacy was backed up by wife Kim Kardashian West. The reality TV star tweeted an American flag emoji as well, and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who tweeted, “You have my full support!”
Looks like there’s a lot more reasons for him to celebrate other than his 10-year deal with Gap and surprise single “Wash Us In the Blood” featuring Travis Scott.
