Angel Locsin’s father tests positive for COVID-19
Angel Locsin revealed on Instagram last Sunday, September 12, that her father tested positive for COVID-19.
The actress wrote in her caption, alongside a photo and video of her father in an ambulance,
“It’s been a week of feeling helpless. Imagine having [COVID-19] at 94. Now imagine being blind in unfamiliar surroundings,”
Moreover, Angel reflected how everyone has their own battles but encouraged her followers to never lose hope.
“So many realizations during this pandemic. We all have our battles, but some definitely more than others. To the PWD’s and everyone fighting their battles alone, kapit! This too shall pass,”
Angel’s celebrity colleagues like Dimples Romana, Judy Ann Santos, Iza Calzado, and Charo Santos-Concio left her comments, all praying for her father’s fast recovery.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Angel has been active in helping medical frontliners.
In recent times, she hosted the Kapamilya public service program Iba ‘Yan from June 2020 to June 2021.
By August 2020, Angel defended the health workers after President Rodrigo Duterte berated them after rising COVID-19 cases in the country.
She said,
“Pagsuporta ang kailangan, hindi pagsindak. [COVID-19] po ang kalaban, hindi ang mamamayan,”
Last September 8, Angel shared a realization about health workers on an Instagram post, saying the world cannot live without them.
“This crisis has made me realize that the world can work without politicians, businessmen, police, and even without actors like me, but the world can never work without health workers,”
