ALAMAT releases enticing MV for ‘Gayuma’

P-Pop royalties ALAMAT shows what it is like to be captivated at first glance in the official music video of their track Gayuma.
In October 2022, ALAMAT launched its debut mini-album titled Pasulong. The extended play contained six songs, including the sexy dance-club piece Gayuma. Members MO, Alas, and Taneo worked together to write the lyrics.
Moreover, according to the group, Gayuma articulates feeling attracted at first sight as if mesmerized by a love potion. The hook in its pre-chorus musically highlights enchantment that is “sure to stay in one’s head even in silence.”

After a series of teasers and a guessing game with their fans, ALAMAT on Thursday finally unveiled the music video for Gayuma. The nearly five-minute MV abandons magic and spellbound aesthetic to present the message of the song. Instead, the group preferred a more futuristic and techno-inspired visual in their portrayal.
Additionally, ALAMAT again breached the barricades in the P-Pop scene by collaborating with another local idol. Notably, AJ Yape of the girl group G22 played special participation in the MV as the leading figure, Techno Babaylan.
Meanwhile, Gayuma is the fifth entry from Pasulong E.P. to have a music video. ALAMAT previously released the MV for Say U Love Me, Aswang, ILY ILY, and Maharani. In the last two tracks, they joined hands with the young singer Lyca Gairanod and BINI Jhoanna.
Currently, ALAMAT is encouraging its followers to do the #GayumaDanceChallenge on Tiktok. They also expressed gratitude for the support they are receiving from the fans.
