4th VP Choice Awards: BGYO is the new Group Performer of the Year!
P-Pop aces BGYO is the newest Group Performer of the Year titleholder of the 4th VP Choice Awards.
VP Choice Awards acknowledges the reigning finest from the travel, lifestyle, entertainment, technology, and business industries. The 2022 installment welcomes the theme Supernova: Our Brilliant Burst of Light. It signifies embracing one’s burgeoning blast after an era of compromise and signals the return of the much-anticipated awards night.
Meanwhile, nominees for the 4th VP Choice Awards are examined based on these criteria: fifty percent comes from online voting, thirty percent from the editorial team’s decision, and twenty percent from the expert panel.
Furthermore, the board of judges comprised showbiz-lifestyle YouTuber Albert Bryan Abelido, orthodontics expert Dr. John Alex Glenn Crespo, and seasoned blogger Justine Montas. Likewise, actress-entrepreneur Kyra Custodio, celebrity hairstylist Mark Rosales, market researcher Martin Penaflor, and gadget coach Peter Jan Icago joined the panel.
Thus, the combined decision of the public and deliberation of the judges led to determining the conquerors of almost 100 accolades presented for the 4th VP Choice Awards.
BGYO for VP Choice Awards 2022 Group Performer of the Year
The Group Performer of the Year award belongs under the VP Choice Awards entertainment category. The title honors the local pop group that led the contemporary music scene. They also highlighted teamwork in every performance, with the members having perfect diversity.
This year on the fourth VPCA edition, a novel victor clinched the prize for the Group Performer of the Year. Announced as the winner during the awards night was the P-Pop formation BGYO with bandmates Akira, Gelo, JL, Mikki, and Nate.
In claiming the Group Performer of the Year award, BGYO bested five other P-Pop group contenders. They garnered the highest votes from the public and the judges, prevailing over 1ST.ONE, ALAMAT, Bini, KAIA, and VXON.
BGYO was formed through Star Hunt Academy and underwent two years of training before debuting in 2021. They popularized the songs The Baddest, Magnet, and Tumitigil ang Mundo. The quintet also sang the official soundtrack for the hit series He’s Into Her.
