1. He’s an Aquarius.
Jaehyun was born on February 14, 1997, which makes him an Aquarius-slash-Valentine boy. He has the same zodiac sign as NCT’s Johnny and Doyoung. Aquarius people are known to be free-spirited and optimistic.
2. He started as an SM Rookie.
Before officially being part of NCT, Jaehyun was part of SMROOKIES, a pre-debut training team formed by SM Entertainment. In December of 2013, the entertainment company formally introduced its trainees, including Jaehyun, other NCT members, and some of Red Velvet members. Thanks to SMROOKIES, people got to know the trainee Jaehyun prior to his NCT debut.
3. He used to live in America.
Have you noticed Jaehyun’s English fluency? It’s because he lived in America for four years before going permanently to Korea with his family. That explains his English speaking ability and subtle American aura.
4. His real name is not Jaehyun.
Actually, the 25-year-old idol’s legal name is Jeong Yoon Oh. Shook?
ICYDK, Alongside Hangul names, Koreans also have Hanja names. Due to a technical problem, the Jeong family decided to change his given name from Jae Hyun to Yoon Oh since Hyun has no corresponding Chinese-Korean Hanja character.
5. He’s friends with ‘97 liner idols.
The friendship between male idols born in the year 1997 is widely regarded as one of the best in the K-Pop industry. Also known as the ’97 liners, the squad is composed of NCT’s Jaehyun, BTS’ Jungkook, GOT7’s Yugyeom and BamBam, SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu, The8 and DK, and ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo.

6. He worked as a DJ and TV host.
Aside from singing and dancing, Jaehyun also used to be a radio and TV host!
From 2017 to 2019, Jaehyun served as a DJ of NCT’s Night Night together with his co-member Johnny. It is a program created by the South Korean radio station called ‘SBS Power FM.’
After working at SBS FM for two years, he was subsequently given a new project by its TV network. Along with Korean idols Minhyuk and Naeun, Jaehyun joined a trio of hosts in October 2019 for the South Korean music show Inkigayo, hosting the show every Sunday. After more than a year, the trio finally bid goodbye to the show.

7. He is the newest PRADA Ambassador.
He is one of the ambassadors of the Italian luxury fashion brand Prada after being named its newest global ambassador.
Last June 2022, Jung Jaehyun traveled to Milan, Italy, and made a dazzling appearance at the Spring-Summer Prada Uomo Fashion Show. That marked the beginning of his activities as a Prada ambassador.
8. He’s an actor.
Actor Jaehyun recently made his acting debut with a major role in a mini-series titled Dear M! The series follows the university life of four students and their search for “M” who turns things upside down after publishing an article on the university’s website.
Jaehyun played the role of a sophomore computer science student who, on a side note, struggles to confess his feelings to his longtime best friend. After the premiere of his drama, many began to compliment him for his amazing performance even though he is a newcomer.
