Wednesday

The kooky and spooky Addams family made a comeback through the Netflix show, Wednesday. Yes, everyone in the Addams’ jauntily macabre household is odd. It’s undeniable that she has already received tons of love and support from the classic Addams Family franchise in 1938. But, she blew up even more when Netflix released the Wednesday series starring Jenna Ortega. The Netflix series revolves around the teenage girl who transferred to Nevermore Academy, a school for outcasts.

The series shows her mastering her psychic abilities to solve murders, along with her relationship. Not only with her family but also with her peers. The show perfectly combined dark comedic entertainment and the classic whodunnit. It definitely makes it enjoyable to watch. Indeed, viewers got hooked, resulting in the series’ great records on the Netflix platform.

Other than the records and numbers, the show has proven its popularity through trends on various social media platforms. This includes the trending prom dance edits on TikTok, people loving the WenClair friendship dynamics, and Wednesday’s goth look.

The word Upside Down or the name Eleven will ring the bell, especially if you’ve watched or heart about the nostalgic science-fiction Netflix series, Stranger Things. It has quickly become the largest pop culture of the decade. The four-season series primarily started with uncovering secret experiments. Then, transitioned into terrifying supernatural forces in a small town after a boy named Will went missing.

The way Stranger Things uses nostalgia for the 1980s is one of the reasons it has clicked with viewers.

At the same time, the young actors portray the characters perfectly as they gained support from the viewers. One of the examples is Eleven, the girl with mysterious psychokinetic ability, who is played to perfection by Millie Bobby Brown. But, to be honest, everyone is worthy of the hype.

Let us also not forget that the show has a multi-genre narrative. It combines a coming-of-age story, a horror series, a thriller about a conspiracy, and an adventure story. This series deserves all the achievements, recognition, and support that it has gained!
