Top 5 common desserts that can ease the heat this summer!

It’s summertime! All of us can feel the heat beating down from the sun. Everyone will surely do anything to ease the heat that they feel every single day. Of course, these include going to resorts, beaches, and going to malls where it remains air-conditioned. Filipinos have remained good when it comes to overcoming any obstacles, especially in this kind of season. We have also taken this opportunity to make an extra profit – selling foods and desserts that can relieve the sweaty feeling.

Summertime comes and here are the top five common desserts that can ease the heat!

SAGO’T GULAMAN

The first one is sago’t gulaman. Sago at Gulaman refers to a traditional Filipino beverage made with brown sugar, water, gelatin, and tapioca pearls. Tapioca pearls are referred to as sago, and gelatin is referred to as gulaman in Filipino. Because both components remain mixed in this recipe, it has become a unique variation. Commonly very affordable, its ingredients won’t break the bank.

ICE CANDY

The next one – ice candy or flavored ice candy. Have you ever tried ice candy? Ice candy, also a frozen treat, remains perfect for beating the summer heat. Fruits and chocolate are the two most prevalent types of ice candy. Meanwhile, you can use any flavor you want to try in this kind of food too!

PALAMIG

This one is just like cold water but it has a flavor, the Palamig! Palamig which literally means “coolers” are prepared beverages sold on the streets or roadside. It also usually contains sago or tapioca pearls and gulaman or jellies and is flavored with syrup from different fruit extracts. This is a great thirst quencher, especially during Summer.
