This Filipino Artist Sells his Fan Art Portraits for Mother’s hospital bills

Ritzel Obreque Oyao recently caught the attention of many netizens when he posted his fan arts and portraits for bidding and selling in order to help in his mother’s hospital and medicine funds.

He shared that their family is in need of financial assistance to immediately fund his mother’s maintenance and recovery from high blood as they are still processing his Philhealth benefits.

Ritzel shared photos of his works, including that of local and international celebrities. The Facebook post gathered many sympathizing feedbacks and generous donations. As of this writing, it was shared by over 75,000 netizens and gained more than 61,000 reactions.

Overwhelmed with support, Ritzel announced that several portrait arts, specifically the faces of ABS-CBN stars, are now all reserved. Those who do not have the capacity to lend money sent prayers instead and heartwarming messages in the comments section.

In a separate post, he thanked everyone with a kind heart that helped them in many ways to make his mother feel better, “Salamat daw po sa lahat ng tumulong, sa mga bumili at nag donate at sa mga prayers niyo. Yan po sabi ni mama. Di ko naintindihan nung una. Pero nung inulit ko tumango siya. Dahil sa inyo di siya nawawalan ng pag asa na gagaling pa. Salamat po. Di pa rin niya maigalaw yung yung right part ng body niya.”
