Just recently, GMA News has featured Robert delos Reyes Abilong, a Grade 12 working student in Pagsanjan, Laguna who recreate the image of the Last Supper just by using wood, sunlight and a magnifying glass. In a said YouScoop post, it can be seen how this young boy exerted time and effort in making this great art.

According to Robert delos Reyes Abilong, he started creating the wooden artwork last May 15 amid the enhanced community quarantine. While at home, he would patiently hover the magnifying glass over the wood until the intensified heat of the sun would darken certain portions.

The said image took Robert a week to finish due to the change in weather. Aside from the Last Supper, he was also able to create portraits of Birheng Maria and Whang Od, the Filipino tattoo artist, just by using the sun.

While the country goes under quarantine due to coronavirus pandemic, Robert said it is important to artists like him to find time to be creative.
