‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ season six titleholder Lyka Estrella shares million-peso prize plans
After emerging as the sixth grand winner of Tawag ng Tanghalan (TNT) on It’s Showtime, Lyka Estrella shared how she plans to use her prizes.
Estrella won the popular singing competition in the afternoon variety show by besting four other strong contenders. On Saturday, May 6, she competed against Nowi Alpuerto, Jezza Quiogue, Marko Rudio, and Villier Villalobo for the coveted title.
During the finale, Estrella rendered her stirring version of Basil Valdez‘s classic Ngayon at Kailanman, followed by Aerosmith’s Dream On. For her final performance, she then stunned the audience with a medley featuring some of the most popular hits from Jessie J.
As a result, Estrella made an outstanding impression on the judges, enough to earn a standing ovation. She claimed the grand championship with the highest garnered score of 98.9%.

As the number one finisher for TNT’s sixth season, Estrella took home a cash prize of one million pesos. She also won a recording contract with ABS-CBN Music and a talent management contract with Polaris of Star Magic.
In addition to the prizes above, Estrella received a brand-new house and lot valued at PHP 2.5 million and a trophy created by Toym Imao. The native of General Santos City discussed her post-victory plans now that the competition is over.
“Ang unang-unang gagawin ko po sa prize [na natanggap ko] ay magbi-build ako ng business. Kasi ‘yung life natin is up and down,” ABS-CBN reported, citing Estrella as saying.
Meanwhile, Estrella took the chance to express her gratitude to all her fans who joined her on the unforgettable journey. “Sa mga supporters ko, thank you so much, everyone. I love you and sana magkita-kita tayo soon,” she said.
