“Spider-Man: No Way Home” excites fans with first teaser trailer featuring the return of Doctor Octopus
Spider-Man: No Way Home, under Marvel Studios, has released its first teaser trailer with a few surprises.
In over three minutes, the teaser gave a peek of how Peter Parker (Tom Holland) will handle the aftermath of Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) revealing his identity as Spider-Man to the entire world.
Moreover, it reveals how the teenage superhero will come to fellow Avenger Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) for aid.
However, through Strange’s help, Spider-Man gets entangled into a “multi-verse,” having him face Doctor Octopus.
Thus, the trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home confirms the return of actor Alfred Molina in a Spider-Man film.
He played the aforementioned villain in 2004’s “Spider-Man 2” with Tobey Maguire in the titular role.
Spider-Man: Far From Home saw Spider-Man defeat Mysterio during Peter’s school trip in London, England.
In addition, the film saw Peter confess his romantic feelings for MJ (Zendaya)
Moreover, Mysterio exposed Spider-Man’s identity to the world through edited footage sent from The Daily Bugle, headed by J. Jonah Jameson, played by J.K. Simmons who portrayed the journalist in the Maguire-led Spider-Man trilogy.
The film is the third Spider-Man film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, after Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Finally, Spider-Man: No Way Home will premiere exclusively in theaters on December 17.
