realme 10 Pro Review: flagship level, mid-range price
For the realme 10 Pro series, the country’s leading smartphone brand in market share hopes to provide Filipinos with the best experience for a mid-range price. Personally, I’ve experienced its 120Hz display and 108MP camera. I can say that these features truly help #DisplayNewVision.
Design and Interface
realme 10 Pro showcases a hyperspace design at the back of the phone. This means that the pattern gives light effects and illusions when tilted. I have to admit, it’s fun to play with it, and just admire its silver look! Aside from this, it also has a glittery texture beneath which serves trendy aesthetics.
For music lovers, here’s some good news for you: it has dual speakers! Not just that, but it has an audio jack, which is now a rarity among new phones.
There are already lots of wallpapers installed for your lock screen with short descriptions and fun facts below. Moreover, you can customize the phone’s theme to suit your preferences.
Its home screen works in a “drawer mode”. You have to drag it up to reveal an alphabetical list of your apps, as well as a search button to find specific content.

Display and Processor
Searching the hashtag #DisplayNewVision will give you an idea of how thin its bezels are. Tech reviewers, influencers, and media partners posted their creative shots of how the phone can camouflage because of its screen-to-body ratio.
With a focus on display, the phone boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Moreover, it comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G Processor. When moving from one app to another, I certainly felt its smooth response.
Camera Quality
For its budget-friendly price, realme 10 Pro 5G’s camera is premium! When looking for phones to buy, one of the first things I check is camera quality. I enjoy capturing and preserving moments. With a 108MP ProLight camera, I was able to take high-resolution and true-to-color shots using this phone.
Here are pictures I took using realme 10 Pro 5G’s rear camera. Without moving, I captured these using 1x, 3x, 4.5x, and 6x distances respectively. What I love about the camera is that these photos show different stories: it either shows the entire scene or the details of your focused subject. Whatever the case is, it retains its clarity.
If filters are your thing, this phone caters to you! With many to choose from, you can create a specific mood before taking a photo. This should save you time from editing it on a different app.
Furthermore, its 16MP front camera gives you well-lit and clear selfies! There’s an option to retouch too. You can adjust your skin texture, cheeks, eye size, nose, chin, and head size.
The left photo is taken using normal photo mode, while the right one is taken using portrait mode. The latter’s background blurs well.
Other camera features include night, street, portrait, pro, panorama, movie, slo-mo, time-lapse, dual-view video, and a group portrait.
Multimedia Experience
When gaming, you can swipe right to choose whether you want to play in low power, balanced, or pro gamer mode. This affects the temperature and battery percentage of your phone which you can check at the same location. For me, this tracker really helps especially when you want to customize how you wish to play. At the same time, you can track your usage so you’d know when your phone starts to heat up and when you need to put it down.
realme 10 Pro 5G is equipped with 8GB RAM that can expand up to 16GB. To test how well it responds, I played Genshin Impact for over an hour.
Set on balanced mode, this game might be quite heavy for the phone. After around 15 minutes, the temperature rose from 30°C to 45°C. While playing, it gives off a few hiccups. The LED display also puts it at a level lower than its OLED and AMOLED counterparts, affecting the visual side. But it’s not that bad. It still keeps the game’s superb aesthetics.
Additionally, with its 120Hz refresh rate, Genshin Impact is playable. The look may appear blurry but the response is mostly smooth.
The dual speakers, on the other hand, gave an immersive experience. The volume goes up to 200% which is a feast for the ears. If you’re like me who still uses wired earphones and headphones, the phone’s built-in audio jack gives you more options.
Functionality and Battery
Powered by an industry-standard large 5000mAh battery, realme 10 Pro 5G is a reliable companion. It allows users, both the casual and those who tend to be on their phones all day, to achieve more. On top of that, its capability to sustain 33W SUPERVOOC charge charges your phone from 0 to 100% in just 74 minutes!
