realme 10 Pro 5G: Unboxing, First Impressions

Entering the year 2023, realme announces its two new smartphones. They never disappoint in surprising us with their company’s signature number series line this new year. Lucky enough, I get to experience unboxing this new smartphone — the realme 10 Pro.

realme’s latest number series comes in their usual yellow-black packaging with the eye-catching “10 Pro” on the front of the box. Inside the box includes the following items:

  • realme 10 Pro 5G unit
  • screen protector (preinstalled)
  • transparent case
  • 33W SuperVOOC adapter
  • USB-A to USB-C charging cable
  • SIM eject tool
  • documentations

“Let’s embrace a new journey,” these are the words written in the yellow packet when you opened the box. It signals the start of your year’s journey with realme’s new phone.

Design and Build

Looking at the design, the realme 10 Pro 5G has a compact, orthogonal shape, molded with round corners. The edges are sharp with no curvature that makes it slightly hard to grip, but even with that, it still have a very sleek and fancy look.

The realme 10 Pro has a matte finish including the sides. In addition, it makes the phone slip-free with this feature.

The branding is located at the lower left portion, parallel to the two obtruding cameras on the top left.

The phone is light for its size weighing at 192g (it has a depth of 8.3mm, making it a bit thick).

The smartphones’ almost bezel-less display is also one of its impressive feature. It also claims a 93.7 percent screen-to-body ratio and features a remarkable razor-thin bezels on the left, right, and top sides of the panel. Also, the width of these bezels is precisely 1mm, one of the slimmest bezels that I’ve ever seen in smartphones. However, the bottom part is bit thick but it slimmer compared to other phones in its category.

It has an LCD display (instead of AMOLED) but still, it offers the same visual experience for the average users.

It has a 6.7-inch IPS LCD panel with a corning Gorilla Glass layer assuring adequate protection against falls or accidental drops. Furthermore, the IPS LCD front screen exhibits a punch-hole front camera at the middle top.

Other features on the device offers a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, placed above it are the volume buttons. Moreover, the SIM card tray can be accessed on the opposite side. Also, it has a 3.5mm headphone jack, the standard USB Type-C dock port, and a speaker grille.
