Nokia XR21 impresses with the highest level of dust and water resistance
A successor to the durable Nokia XR20, Nokia XR21 has been certified with the highest level of dust and water resistance, MIL-STD-810H and IP69K. When compared to IP68, the IP69K rating means the device can withstand high-pressure, high-temperature water jets.
HMD Global makes some pretty impressive claims regarding the durability of the Nokia XR21.
According to Head of Product Marketing Adam Ferguson, the Nokia XR21 āhas been built to eliminate those everyday fears; our device is so durable that it can withstand a soaking from a 100-bar pressure water hose jet with an 80Ā°C water temperature. In fact, weāre so confident in our new durable hero that we are offering a one-year screen replacement guarantee should the worst happen.ā
As for the specs, it’s a mid-range smartphone with a Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, 6GB RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. However, it still fairs pretty well with a display size of 6.49in and a resolution of 2400×1080, having the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
Nokia’s XR21 offers up to two days of battery life with its 4800mAh capacity and Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor.
Aside from the 100% recycled aluminum chassis, the Nokia XR21 also has stereo speakers with OZO playback, which gives the device a rich, immersive sound experience.
The 96 dB stereo speakers offer Audio Boost mode, which should help you hear over background noise, and two Quick Access buttons let you access your favorite apps and features quickly.
Starting this May, Nokia XR21 will be available in Midnight Black and Pine Green colors for Ā£499.99 (PHP 34,735) in the UK. Sadly, there is no word yet as to its availability in the Philippines.
