Netflix K-drama ‘Twenty Five Twenty One’ Streams This February
Just two days before Valentine’s, Netflix will be launching its upcoming romance K-drama, ‘Twenty Five Twenty One’. In this series, love finds the pair Nam Joo-hyuk (Start-Up) and Kim Tae-ri (Space Sweepers) a few years later after they meet.
Last January 13, Netflix gave us a glimpse of the much-anticipated drama through a short teaser. According to its synopsis, the story follows a teen fencer who pursues big ambitions and meets a hardworking young man who seeks to rebuild his life in a time when dreams seem out of reach.
Directed by Jung Jeehyun, it takes place amidst the turbulence of the East Asian Crisis, where the 22-year-old Back Yi-jin (Nam Joo-hyuk) meets the 18-year-old Na Hee-do (Kim Tae-ri).
During this time, friendship was passionate, love was overwhelming, and despair, heart-wrenching. At 25 and 21, they both fall in love. Set from 1998 to 2001, it tells the tale of five young people who thought they would be together forever.
In line with this, the cast also consists of Kim Ji Yeon, Choi Hyun Wook, and Lee Ju Myoung.
As Twenty Five Twenty One premieres on Netflix this February 12, make sure to add it to your K-drama must-watch list!
