The 50-second teaser video shows a snowy location in Russia where prisoners are assembling railroad tracks under the scrutiny of heavily armed guards. And surprisingly, clean-shaved Jim Hopper is one of those captives.
Hopper is alive!
In fact, he has appeared to have been killed last season 3 after defeating the Russian Terminator and helping close the rift between the real world and the Upside Down. However, fans have already theorized he could’ve been survived the battle — which the teaser finally confirmed!
“We’re excited to officially confirm that production on ‘Stranger Things 4’ is now underway — and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper,\” “Stranger Things” creators and show runners Matt and Ross Duffer said. “Although it’s not all good news for our ‘American’; he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human…and other. Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything…” series creators Duff brothers said in a statement.
“Season 4 is shaping up to be the biggest and most frightening season yet, and we cannot wait for everyone to see more. In the meantime — pray for the American,” the Duffer brothers added.
In fact, the production of the fourth series has been in the works as writers and actors have shared some photos and clues on the upcoming season.
As of this writing, the giant streaming site has not shared any announcement on the release date of the fourth season.
