End Of An Era: Wish Ko Lang Ends After 18 Years

One of the most well-loved public service shows in the Philippines, Wish Ko Lang, is set to end tomorrow, February 15, Saturday. The show started on June 2002 with Bernadette Sembrano as the original host. However, in 2004, Vicky Morales took over, and since then the show has become part of every Filipino household.

End of an era

To date, Wish Ko Lang has a total of 983 episodes of life stories that truly brought hope and inspiration to all Filipino viewers. Aside from inspiring us, they have also helped numerous people who are in dire need to improve their lives.

On the other hand, the show will be replaced with Ilaban Natin ‘Yan, which is also hosted by Vicky Morales. The show will start on February 22.

It is a reality-drama and will have a similar flow to that of the famous Face To Face of Amy Perez.

Tagged as the ‘Fairy the Godmother,’ Vicky will show stronger yet empathetic persona in the show as she will serve as the mediator who will iron out issues and conflicts between two parties.

Wish Ko Lang

To recall, Face To Face was aired and produced exclusively by TV5 Network Inc. where it was then dubbed as a “Barangay hall on-air”. In fact, this is one of the most popular shows in the Philippines and has often been labelled as the “Filipino version of Jerry Springer”.
