Matteo Guidicelli is now National Youth Commission youth ambassador
The newly wed actor and Philippine Army reservist Matteo Guidicelli was recognized as Youth Ambassador of the National Youth Commission.
In fact, the government office announced on Monday, March 2 that the 29-year-old actor was appointed for his significant contribution to youth development.
According to the Commission, “Mr. Guidicelli’s patriotism and nationalism, initially manifested by being a military reservist, is expected to serve as inspiration and encouragement for the Filipino [youth] in the fulfillment of their role in national building.”
Of course, Matteo thanked NYC on Twitter it with a caption, “An honor and privilege. Thank you.”

The National Youth Commission (NYC) officially designates the Filipino actor and Philippine Army reservist, Mr. Matteo Guidicelli, as a Youth Ambassador of the NYC based on the Commission’s Resolution No. 26, series of 2019, that also recognizes his significant contribution to youth development.
Mr. Guidicelli’s patriotism and nationalism, initially manifested by being a military reservist, is expected to serve as inspiration and encouragement for the Filipino youth in the fulfillment of their role in nation-building.
The NYC looks forward to further enhance youth empowerment by designating youth ambassadors who can be role models of good citizenship through this recognition.
Last April 2019, Matteo was sworn in as a member of the Army reserve command. In fact, prior to being an Army reservist, he also joined the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Recently, Matteo married his longtime girlfriend Sarah Geronimo in a controversial secret ceremony last February 20. He announced their engagement in November 2019.
