Jiro Manio arrested in Marikina for alleged frustrated homicide
Former child actor Jiro Manio was nabbed in Marikina City last Friday night. According to the report of Dobol B sa News TV, Manio (27) was arrested for alleged frustrated homicide. In the initial police investigation, a man identified as Zeus Doctoloro was walking when Manio came from the opposite direction.
It was reported that Manio attacked Doctoloro that lead to a fight.
The ex-child actor allegedly took a knife and stabbed the victim three times. However, Manio claimed that he was first hit with helmet.
Manio, now 27 and a father of two kids, is known for his movie Magnifico in 2004.
“In 2011, he entered rehab for substance abuse. Years later, he was seen wandering the Ninoy Aquino International Airport for several days, bruised and dressed in dirty clothes. Shortly after the incident, he said he was done with showbiz,” Rappler wrote.
He left rehab in 2016.
A Mother’s Love
Ai Ai Delas Alas, who is considered as his mother in showbiz industry, shared her sentiments on the latest controversy involving the actor. She posted a video clip on her Instagram account.
“Parang napagod na ako. Ilang days after na isumbong sa akin ‘yun nagsabi na siya na, ‘Mama lalabas na ako’ so ako wala na… Nawalan na ako ng pag-asa na wala na, parang hindi na magbabago si Jiro.”
“Matanda na siya, Hindi naman na siya 17 or menor de edad, so sabi ko siguro tama na ‘yung nagawa ko para sa kaniya na nagpaalam siya, binlock ko na siya, hindi ko na siya pinansin noong sinabi niya na uuwi na siya.”
At the latter part of the video, Ai Ai asked everyone to pray for Manio’s safety and recovery.
“Ako po ay ang pinakamagagawa ko ngayon ay magdasal at hinihingi ko rin po na ipagdasal natin siya. Malinawan ang isip niya na kung ano man ang mangyari sa kaniya ngayon, sana matuto siya sa lahat lahat ng pinagdaanan niya sa buhay niya.”
