Being a purposeful woman is an understatement for her. Despite having mild scoliosis, she knows that it would not stop her to reach her goals.
“I promised myself that this would not affect what God had put inside my heart. That’s why I’m here because I felt like it was my purpose,”
In addition to her aspirations in life, she aims for people to prioritize their mental health as she knows the burdens of being drained mentally. She also advised,
“Don’t compare themselves to what they see on social media, stop pressuring themselves and know that there is always light coming their way. It’s good to be kind to people and kinder to yourself as well,”
Where it all started
As a woman filled with alluring beauty and heaven-sent height, modeling opportunities have always come to her. She even recalled the time when her teacher who’s a photographer invited her to a fashion show in SM Valenzuela.
“One of the models there told me that my height is good and I should go to castings and look for an agency,”
Moreover, she shared that among the Filipino models, Jessica Yang, Ella Eiveren, and Jach Manere inspire her. Internationally speaking, she mentioned Angel Candice, Hadid sisters, and Kelly Gale among many others.
Blessing in disguise
Furthermore, she disclosed that she stopped her schooling when she graduated Senior High due to depression. In relation to this, she felt the need to rest only for a year.
However, the pandemic happened to exist. She knew that she didn’t prefer to take online schooling, which made her halt attending school again.
On the other hand, she revealed that this circumstance eventually led her to opportunity.
“Pandemic for me was actually a blessing in disguise because I got the time to better myself, and live and enjoy life and the modeling rakets just come for me,”
Jorilyn also loves reading motivational quotes and seeing sexy women on Instagram. For her, these women inspire her to be a better version of herself, particularly in her lifestyle.
“My daily routine is to work out, eat healthy foods, stay in a calorie deficit to have a better body,”
No matter what it takes
When asked about her expectations upon doing modeling, she knows that long hours of work and casting calls are two things to be anticipated.
Setting foot in the modeling realm, she unfolded a memory way back then.
“They used to bully me because I’m too tall and skinny and I always feel that I don’t fit in and out of place. But now I realized that my height was just average for a real model and I know I have something in me that will pursue it no matter what it takes,”
Moreover, she deeply believes that she’s determined as a model. Channeling her inner Gigi Hadid, she stated,
“There will always be the most hard-working, kinder, prettier so choose to be one. And I believe I have all of them, I have what it takes and I’m excited about what’s coming my way.”
No matter what it takes, she will conquer the modeling industry. Definitely, she’s ready to flaunt her mystique to the world.
