1. The 1975: Being Funny In A Foreign Language
I know when you’re around, ‘cause you know the sound of The 1975! Your favorite English pop rock band will be coming back for their fifth studio album, Being Funny In A Foreign Language on October 14th. The 4-member band who is known for their hits like Robbers, Somebody Else, and Love It If We Made It, teased their new era last June 1st on their official Instagram.
Matty Healy, the frontman of The 1975, said in BBC Radio 1 interview that it was the first time in ages that they worked with other producers outside of the band. He pertained to known music producer, Jack Antonoff, whom they had worked with this time. So far, The 1975 already dropped their pre-released singles Part of the Band, Happiness and I’m In Love With You.
2. Taylor Swift: Midnights
Ladies and gentlemen, will you please stand for Miss Blondie? Taylor Swift, your American musical genius is coming back for the tenth studio album, Midnights this October 21st! This is not a drill for the All Too Well singer who made a surprise announcement at the recent 2022 VMAs. It was such a very Tay move to suddenly drop the news.
The hitmaker told on her Instagram account that the upcoming album is a collection of songs that came up in the middle of the night. It entails a story about her 13 sleepless nights, reflecting why Midnights has 13 new tracks too.
3. Arctic Monkeys: The Car
We’re going back to 505 as Arctic Monkeys returns! The English rock band is set to release its seventh studio album, The Car on October 21st. Your best-loved band has been active for 20 years already in the music scene.
Alex Turner, the vocalist of the band, told in an interview with The Big Issue, that they were back on the earth for their new record. The frontman indirectly pointed out how it will be different from their sci-fi attack on the previous album, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino. The band already released their pre-release single, There’d Better Be A Mirrorball.
4. Carly Rae Jepsen: The Loneliest Time
Let’s now run away with Carly Rae Jepsen! The well-known pop star is getting back on October 21st with her fifth studio album, The Loneliest Time. The Canadian singer-songwriter told that the idea of loneliness fascinated her as it evokes extreme human emotions.
Call Me Maybe singer will return after two years when she dropped the Dedicated Side B album in 2020. Carly Rae also released the singles, Western Wind and Beach House, all included in her upcoming album.
5. Tove Lo: Dirt Femme
Now, if we’re talking body, we got Tove Lo! The Swedish singer-songwriter comes back with a fifth studio album called Dirt Femme on October 14th. Dubbed as Sweden’s darkest pop export by Rolling Stone, Tove Lo said the album would about her story and relationship with her femininity.
As of now, the Habits singer released three out of twelve tracks of the upcoming album: No Dies From Love, True Romance, and 2 Die 4.
6. Meghan Trainor: Takin’ It Back
Here are a few things you’ll need to know, Meghan Trainor is coming back! The hitmaker of All About That Bass will return on October 21st with her fourth studio album, Takin’ It Back. This would be her first album after she welcomed motherhood.
Furthermore, the singer-songwriter said the upcoming record is her old school. Fans would be expecting stronger lyrics, yet still, have that party vibe that she is popular for. Meghan will be returning to her old roots like in the debut album, Title.
7. Ava Max: Diamonds & Dancefloors
At night, she’s screamin’ Ava Max will serve bops! To be released on October 14th, the So Am I singer will drop her second studio album, Diamonds & Dancefloors.
The American singer told that the upcoming album would be different from her usual sound. Indicating that the tracks will make the listeners simultaneously cry and dance. Singles that were dropped ahead of the album’s release were Maybe You’re The Problem and Million Dollar Baby.
8. Lamb of Gods: Omens
I’ll chain you to the truth— that Lamb of God comes back! On October 7th, the American heavy metal band will be dropping their ninth studio album called Omens. The 5-member band said that the to-be-released album would be very pissed off.
The vocalist, Randy Blythe, told that the record was inspired by how the world keeps getting crazy and changing. Followed by the news of their new album is the band’s United States tour. Meanwhile, Lam of God released the singles of the album, Nevermore, and Omens.
9. Red Hot Chili Peppers: Return of the Dream Canteen
Standing in line, to see the RHCP returns! The American rock band, Red Hot Chili Peppers delivers another album this 2022. Last April 1, the rock legends released their twelfth studio album, Unlimited Love.
Meanwhile, the band which is active since 1983 doesn’t lose its touch as they set to release another album, Return of the Dream Canteen on October 14th. Moreover, they already dropped the pre-release single, Tippa My Tongue. A back-to-back album releases for Red Hot Chili Peppers, while they are currently doing global stadium tours, too.
