Lie Reposposa reveals taking the lead in courtship with British partner
Ex-Pinoy Big Brother housemate Lie Reposposa confessed that she made the first move to win the heart of the British national and her now soon-to-be-husband Paul Joshua Marsden.
Both 19 years old, Lie publicized her relationship with the non-showbiz Paul in December last year. Through an Instagram post, the singer-actress posted their affectionate pictures with a sweet caption confirming their romantic ties.
Meanwhile, Paul wrote “Happy days” in a separate social update while sharing a video capturing some of their tender moments. Netizens have since then witnessed the progress of their budding relationship.
Only a few months later, Lie and Paul disclosed their engagement.
Lie Reposposa and Paul Joshua Marsden’s love story
On an April 26 episode of the morning show Magandang Buhay, Lie narrated how she met Paul. The young star also admitted she was the first to make a move. A report from PEP Philippines’ news portal further detailed,
“Nag-search ako ng mga pangalan kasi bored ako nun. Wala akong magawa kaya pumunta ako dun sa [Instagram]. Tapos pagka-search ko [ng Paul], nakita ko yung picture niya, clinick ko. Tapos timing nun, meron siyang [IG] Story kaya hineart ko para may first move,” Lie recalled.
In response, Paul’s curiosity led him to visit Lie’s profile, only to find her attractive. The British lad then sent a follow request and hit the heart button on all of Lie’s posts.
“Tapos nun, nag-Story din ako [kaya] chinat niya ako, ‘You look so beautiful.’ Ang gaan niya lang kausap, parang boy version ko siya,” said Lie. The rest was history and following two months of talking stage, Paul flew to the Philippines to meet her soon-to-be-bride.
As of writing, Lie and Paul remain a sweet engaged couple. The two are yet to reveal details about their future marriage.
