Ladies that we might see at Binibining Pilipinas 2022
The search is on for the most prestigious national pageant in the Philippines! Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) is still accepting applications for its 2022 edition. Open since February, those interested in continuing the 50-year-old legacy of the pageant have until April 8 to submit their applications. With only a few days until the deadline, many names of potential applicants have started to circulate.
Once screening begins at Araneta City, here are some of the ladies we’d like to see make an appearance for the Binibining Pilipinas 2022.
Confirmed
After their previous stint last year, four binibini repeaters will compete for another shot at winning one of the crowns. These are Bb. Pilipinas 2021 1st runner-up Gabrielle Basiano as well as semifinalists Karen Mendoza, Graciella Lehmann, and Francesca Taruc.
Diana Mackey, a former Pinoy Big Brother: Otso Adult Housemate, has expressed interest in joining BBP. Meanwhile, Herlene Budol, a.k.a. Wowowin’s Hipon Girl, talks about her plans to join Binibini this year in a vlog with TV reporter Karen Davila.
Speculated
Since winning Miss Eco Teen International 2020, Roberta Tamondong has been on everyone’s Wishlist to participate in a national pageant. While it’s already been announced that she will compete this year, we can only hope that it will be at Binibini.
With no official confirmation, fans are still hopeful that two previous Miss Universe Philippines candidates will crossover to Binibining Pilipinas. Finishing in the Top 16 last year, Jasmine Umali and Chella Falconer could potentially win should they pursue the pageant.
Steffi Aberasturi appears to be taking her final steff in pageantry, just when we thought she was done. Following her absence from this year’s Miss Universe Philippines, there have been rumors that Steffi might join Binibining Pilipinas.
Pre-events will start with the annual Flores de Mayo parade in Araneta City. However, the dates for screenings and for the pageant night have yet to be announced by BPCI.
