Additionally, SDA is reputed as the sole South Korean drama festival that places a spotlight on the evolving global drama landscape. Since its founding in 2006, the prize-giving body has continued to fulfill its commitment for nearly two decades now.

According to SDA, Bernardo will vie to clinch the Outstanding Asian Stars prize. She will compete against other bets from South Korea, China, Thailand, Japan, and Taiwan.
UPDATE: As of May 26, the SDA nominations of Barbie Forteza, Dennis Trillo, and Julie Anne San Jose have been confirmed for the same category.
Moreover, a voting period will commence on June 15 to determine the winners. The organizers also stressed that fans could cheer for their favorites by downloading the IDOLCHAMP app.
Last year, Belle Mariano made history after being the first Filipina to claim SDA’s Outstanding Asian Star prize. She graced the awarding night to receive her trophy, where she met other international artists like the K-Pop idol Kang Daniel.
Meanwhile, a few other Filipino talents were previously featured in SDA before Mariano’s landmark. The list includes Dennis Trillo, Gabby Concepcion, Alden Richards, and Dingdong Dantes, who all received the Asian Star Prize.
The upcoming 2023 Seoul International Drama Awards will take place on September 21, with a live simulcast via KBS2TV in Korea.
