About Josh Labing-isa
Vincent “Josh” Labing-isa is a singer from Novaliches, Quezon City. Born and raised in Dubai, UAE, Josh took his first steps to start his singing career there. Guided by his supportive parents who are OFWs, his father Prudencio Labing-isa, and mother Maria Labing-isa, paved the way and supported their son in his chosen career.
His Humble Beginnings
Before his journey to stardom in the Philippines, he started joining singing competitions in Dubai, UAE at a young age. There, he usually competes with equally talented Filipinos that served as his training ground. He started building his love for music and has proven to the foreign people of Dubai that he is a great performer.
The Voice Teens – Team Lea’s POP BALLADEER
The Voice Teens of the Philippines Season 2 is his first-ever TV competition that he became part of. It was the year 2020 when he made Coach Lea Salonga turn for him as he sings “Paano” by Mr. Gary Valenciano in his blind auditions. As part of FamiLea, he surpassed the “battle rounds” and made it to Knock-out rounds.
“Ang linis lang ng pagkanta mo.. eksaktong-eksakto ‘yung mga runs na ginawa mo. Very very tasteful, hindi sumobra.”

Tawag ng Tanghalan – his biggest break yet
Tagged as the “teen-spiring dreamer” in the competition, you will see how much he works hard to fulfill his dreams. Making it to the longest-running singing competition on TV is a big deal for a musician should be proud of. Josh Labing-isa left such remarkable performances in his entire journey in TNT Season 5. He fought for his spot in the weekly finals and successfully proceeded to the Quarter Finals.
“Noong nagpe-perform ka, hindi ko alam, hindi naman talaga ako brokenhearted pero nasasaktan ako, simula palang nu’ng umpisa noong kanta mo.”

For Quarterfinals, he undeniably sang his heart out and gave unforgettable performances. One outstanding performance I could never forget is his version of Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton. In that particular song, he got a standing ovation from the judges and left them in awe. He managed to showcase his vocal calisthenics in the song which sort of made history in the said singing competition as he garnered an average score of 97.7%.
Josh showed so much versatility in the competition but his success became quite close yet so far for him. He finished as a quarter-finalist in the competition competing with TNT Season 5 grand champion, Reiven Umali.
ABS-CBN Star Magic – Polaris Artists’ pride
After Tawag ng Tanghalan, more doors opened for the teen-spiring dreamer. From then on, Polaris under Star Magic let them sign a contract with him. Polaris Artists are a set of great performers and talents in partnership with ABS-CBN. Guestings here and there are given to Josh including the “TNT Fridays” held at Newport World Resorts which he truly deserves.
Showtime Online U Host
As part of the Polaris Artists, Josh was also given the chance to be one of the hosts of Showtime Online U. They hold a program which was aired on Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube during It’s Showtime’s commercial breaks. There he showcases his hosting skills and of course his talent in singing for a particular segment called SOU-oke.
Livestreaming journey
Another door to which Josh is thankful for opening is his regular live streams on Kumu for Polaris. There he shares his talent and bubbliness with his viewers as he got to interact with them, too.
